Frame & Truss Detailing — for plants, in your software
We detail in your nail-plate environment, to your plant's rules, and nothing reaches the factory floor without your senior detailer's check. Our detailers learned the job inside a Victorian frame and truss plant.
Frame & Truss Detailing — at a glance
- What it is: We detail in your nail-plate environment, to your plant's rules, and nothing reaches the factory floor without your senior detailer's check. Our detailers learned the job inside a Victorian frame and truss plant.
- Who buys it: Frame and truss plants; Plants converting estimators to detailers; Prefab and panelised manufacturers.
- Software: MiTek Sapphire Structure, Pryda Build, Multinail Cornerstone, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Excel.
- Standards and codes: AS 1684 (all parts), AS/NZS 1170.2 wind, NCC 2025 (Vic), NCC 2022, Software engineering certification envelope.
- Regulatory position: Detailing inside AS 1684 span tables and the certified nail-plate software envelope sits within the prescriptive-standard exemption. Non-standard spans, irregular geometry, wind classifications outside the standard range and engineered members outside published tables are flagged at intake and done only under your engineer's documented supervision.
- How to start: a fixed-fee pilot with a named Australian reviewer, converting to a dedicated seat on the second engagement.

Scope
- Roof truss detailing. Layouts, truss design within the certified software envelope, bracing and tie-down to AS 1684 and the software's engineering certification.
- Wall frame and panel detailing. Wall panel drawings with openings, lintels from published tables, bracing, and cut lists for the saw.
- Floor system detailing. Floor truss and joist layouts, cassette drawings where used, in Posi-type or open-web systems your plant supplies.
- Beam and lintel schedules. Schedules from published span tables; engineered members outside tables flagged for your engineer, never assumed.
- Layouts and builder documentation. Colour layouts, beam layouts and bracing plans in the format your builder customers expect.
- Plant-ready output. Cutting lists, plate schedules, and files in the format your saw and press line take.
Software we work in
Standards and codes
We work inside your environment on a virtual desktop. Your templates, your title block, your naming.
Built for
Frame and truss plants
Overflow and steady-state detailing capacity that absorbs seasonal peaks without a local hire.
PlantsPlants converting estimators to detailers
We run the same conversion internally and can support yours — staggered so estimating capacity is not lost.
How we workPrefab and panelised manufacturers
Wall panel and floor cassette detailing for offsite manufacture, coordinated with LGS and cladding setout where relevant.
Prefab
Detailing that goes straight to the saw
A plant does not want a drawing; it wants a job that cuts, presses and stacks without a question from the floor. That means the right plate on the right joint, lintels from the published table, bracing that matches the layout, and cut lists the saw software reads first time. Our detailers learned this inside a Victorian plant, with the factory manager next door.
Every plant has its own rules — preferred plate sizes, how you handle girders, what your builders expect on a colour layout. We build a written checklist from your rules in week one and detail to it from week two.
Scoping call
Twenty minutes on what is short, which software, and what the acceptance standard is.
Fixed-fee pilot
A defined batch with a named Australian reviewer and a first-pass-yield number.
Dedicated seat
Convert on the second engagement. Your hours, your systems, our team leader, monthly reporting.
Common questions
Which nail-plate systems do you detail in?
MiTek Sapphire, Pryda Build and Multinail Cornerstone. Each plant runs one, and we work in yours on a virtual desktop — we do not ask you to change software, and we do not move your files.
Do you provide detailing to builders?
Detailing is provided to frame and truss plants, which supply the shop drawings with the frame. For builders we provide estimating, drafting and contract administration.
Who checks the work before it goes to the floor?
Our senior detailer first, then your senior detailer or design manager. We track first-pass yield per detailer and report it monthly. Nothing is released to production without your sign-off.
How experienced are your detailers?
Our senior detailers have years of production detailing for a Victorian plant. New detailers complete accredited nail-plate training and a six-to-twelve-month supervised ramp before working unsupervised on a client account; we tell you where each person on your account sits on that curve.
Are your people trained by the software vendors?
Yes. We sponsor accredited training and completion is a titled step on our progression ladder. Ask us which certifications the detailers on your account hold.
Talk to us plant to plant.
Tell us which system you run and where your detailing backlog sits. The pilot is twenty wall panel drawings or a set of roof layouts, fixed fee, checked by your senior detailer.
